  • 90-degree corners are used to create right angles in handrails. All 90-degree corner pieces are sold individually and include an aluminum insert pre-installed on each end. To create handrail corners that are more or less than 90 degrees, please see plastic knuckles.
  • All Rampit USA ramps are attached to platforms using aluminum adapters attached to the ramp’s stringers. These adapters are reversible and can be used for ramps that go up or down. Each adapter pack includes two sets of adapters and hardware:

    • (2) Angle Brackets
    • (6) 1" x 5/16" Carriage Bolts
    • (6) 5/16" Washers
    • (6) 5/16" Hex Nuts

  • Aluminum inserts are inserted into the open ends of handrail components to create a secure connection between various components.
  • Aluminum Pipe

    Aluminum pipe is sold by the foot and can be used for Rampit USA legs and leg assemblies (2"), or Rampit USA handrails (1 1/2"). The aluminum pipe does not include any additional inserts or hardware for installation.
  • ANSI loops are the rounded ends of Rampit USA handrails. ANSI loops include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured) and can be flipped to angle upwards or downwards.
  • Bevel

  • Built in Adapter (BIAD)

    The built-in adapter is an optional replacement for the uppermost piece of tread in a ramp section. The built-in adapter extends out beyond the end of the ramp, enabling the ramp to rest on the raised surface.   • Crossarm

  • The crossarm clamp is part of a ramp's support assembly and is responsible for holding the crossarm in place on the leg. Crossarm clamps are sold individually and include all necessary hardware.
  • Footpad

    Composite footpads create an 8-inch footprint to distribute the ramp’s weight and prevent damage to your yard.
  • Handrail posts are the main components in all Rampit USA handrails and attach directly to the ramp or platform stringer using the hardware provided in a small bolt pack. Handrail posts are sold individually. 
  • Large bolt packs contain enough hardware for installing six handrail posts:
    • (12) 1" x 5/16" Carriage Bolts
    • (6) 2" x 5/16" Carriage Bolts

  • Leg Clamp

    Leg clamps come in two different sizes and are sold individually. The 1 1/2" leg clamp is part of the crossarm assembly and attaches two individual ramp sections. The 2" leg clamp mounts to the outside of a ramp or platform stringer and is used to attach legs.
  • Legs

    Legs are sold individually and include a 2" aluminum tube, footpad, and post cap. Rampit USA recommends purchasing legs longer than the needed application to allow for adjustments. We also recommend a diagonal brace for legs exceeding 48" in height.
  • All Rampit USA aluminum ramps and platforms are assembled using a series of inter-connected pieces of light, and/or heavy tread. All tread pieces are six inches in length and can be cut to any width necessary. Light tread is standard on all residential platforms and portable ramps. 
  • All Rampit USA aluminum ramps and platforms are assembled using a series of inter-connected pieces of light, and/or heavy tread. All tread pieces are six inches in length and can be cut to any width necessary. Medium tread is used in all ramps and commercial platforms. There are two different types of medium tread in all Rampit USA ramp sections. The first piece of tread is open on the front and the back, and is known as starter tread. This enables ramp sections to be connected to one another. All remaining tread on a ramp section is standard medium tread, and is open on the front, but closed on the back.
  • Plastic knuckles are inserted directly into the open end of two handrail components to create a corner that may not be exactly 90-degrees.
  • Platform handrails are priced and sold individually and do not include ninety-degree corners or plastic knuckles for connecting multiple handrails.
  • Post Cap

    Post caps are sold individually and fit securely into the open ends of handrails or legs. Handrails utilize 1 1/2" post caps, while legs utilize 2" post caps.
  • Ramp handrails are sold as a set and only include hardware for installation. Square ends, ANSI Loops, Knuckles, Corners, Caps, and inserts needed for terminating or changing handrail direction are all sold separately.

  • Small bolt packs include all necessary hardware for attaching a set of handrails (four handrails posts) to a ramp or platform:

  • Square ends are used to enclose and terminate the end of a handrail when space may be an issue. Square ends are sold individually and include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured). Rampit USA recommends using ANSI loops whenever space allows.
  • Stringer

    Stringers are shaped like an upside-down letter "F" and enclose all Rampit USA ramps and platforms. On platforms, two of the four stringers are usually flipped upside-down to create a smooth transition on and off the platform. Platform stringers are cut at 45-degree angles, whereas ramp stringers are cut at 90-degree angles. Stringers are sold individually and cut to the length specified. For a matching set, please add two of the same size to your cart.
  • Support Assembly

    A support assembly is made up of a crossarm, including two leg clamps and two crossarm clamps, and two complete legs. Support assemblies are installed underneath a ramp and are used to connect two individual ramp sections.
