Empower Series Curb and Butt Ramp Update

In direct response to feedback from dealers and customers, we are pleased to announce several improvements to our curb and butt ramps aimed at enhancing safety and consistency across all of our products. The adjustments below will take effect starting Monday, June 3.
All future curb and butt ramps will include a shortened stringer that ends flush with the bottom of the ramp. Currently, the stringer on the curb and butt ramps extend beyond the end of the ramp and over the bevel by several inches. This locks the bevel in place; however, it also unintentionally creates a tripping hazard for users entering the ramp. This change also means that the bevel will no longer be built into curb and butt ramps and will now be removable.
At the same time, we will also be adjusting the way curb and butt ramps are sold.
Currently, curb and butt ramps include the six-inch bevel in the finished length. Therefore, a 4-foot butt ramp actually includes a 3 1/2′ ramp and a 6″ bevel, totaling 4 feet in length. This is in direct contrast to how we sell all other ramps, which do not include a bevel in the finished length. Going forward, curb and butt ramps will align with all other Rampit USA ramps. For example, a 4-foot butt ramp will include a 4-foot ramp with a 6-inch bevel (unless specified otherwise) on the end for a finished length of 4′ 6″.
Thank you to everyone who brought both of these items to our attention. Your feedback means a lot to us, and we value the ongoing conversation and suggestions from our partners.
