Post caps are sold individually and fit securely into the open ends of handrails or legs. Handrails utilize 1 1/2" post caps, while legs utilize 2" post caps. -
Aluminum inserts are inserted into the open ends of handrail components to create a secure connection between various components. -
Aluminum pipe is sold by the foot and can be used for Rampit USA legs and leg assemblies (2"), or Rampit USA handrails (1 1/2"). The aluminum pipe does not include any additional inserts or hardware for installation. -
Light tread is sold by the foot and comes standard on all residential platforms and portable ramps. When ordering, please select the length of tread needed and the quantity. For ramp tread, please see medium tread. Please contact us for custom lengths not listed below. -
Plastic knuckles are inserted directly into the open end of two handrail components to create a corner that may not be exactly 90-degrees. -
Leg clamps come in two different sizes and are sold individually. The 1 1/2" leg clamp is part of the crossarm assembly and attaches two individual ramp sections. The 2" leg clamp mounts to the outside of a ramp or platform stringer and is used to attach legs. -
Legs are sold individually and include a 2" aluminum tube, footpad, and post cap. Rampit USA recommends purchasing legs longer than the needed application to allow for adjustments. We also recommend a diagonal brace for legs exceeding 48" in height. -
ANSI loops are the rounded ends of Rampit USA handrails. ANSI loops include pre-installed aluminum inserts (not pictured) and can be flipped to angle upwards or downwards. -
Platform handrails are sold individually and specifically designed to fit Rampit USA Platforms. The actual length of each handrail, measured end to end, is shown in the chart below. Platform handrails include two handrail posts and two filler tubes for lengths 4' - 8' or three handrail posts and four filler tubes for lengths 9' and 10'. The crossarm clamp is part of a ramp's support assembly and is responsible for holding the crossarm in place on the leg. Crossarm clamps are sold individually and include all necessary hardware. -
All Rampit USA aluminum ramps and platforms are assembled using a series of inter-connected pieces of light and/or medium tread. Medium tread is sold by the foot and comes standard in all Rampit USA ramps and commercial platforms. Please note: there are two different types of medium tread in all Rampit USA ramp sections. The first piece of tread is open on the front and the back and is known as starter tread. All remaining tread on a ramp section is standard medium tread, which is open on the front but closed on the back. When ordering, please select the type of tread, the length needed, and the quantity. Composite footpads create an 8-inch footprint to distribute the ramp’s weight and prevent damage to your yard.
